In Bajo Salario we believe it is our social responsibility to create a united community through the participation of community events, it is through our music and fandangos that we are able to teach and create music and instruments that promote the collaborative integration of children, youth and adults without concern to a person's cultural heritage or economic background.
En Bajo Salario creemos firmemente en nuestra responsabilidad social de crear una solida comunidad que participe en eventos sin fines de lucro, en lo que por medio de la musica y fandangos, podamos enseñar a hacer instrumentos que promueven la integracion de niños, jóvenes y adultos sin hacer diferencia de su herencia cultural o recursos economicos.

Displace workers, marginalized immigrants, broken families by "the migra", pesticide exposed farmworkers, descriminated LGBT folks, single mothers, hidden refugees, hardworking families, dignified low salary people, progresive students, hippies, activist, militant teachers, combative musicians, peace and green workers, labor activist, underpaid artists, dedicated parents and empoverish children asked us to play.
And they listened our music...we listen to their stories and wrote song about thier strugles and their experiences...We cried together since 2004 and we also found the way out of our pain and sorrow to sing song such us "its not enought to pray", 30-30 carabine, Carboard box's houses, solo le pido a dios, el Barzon, Jacinto cenobio and many more songs that walked along in our 9 year old journey for Social and economic justice, for labor and immigrant right, for personal freedom and peace!
We are! somos! "aqui estamos" for the service of the people! to raise awarenes and organize through high quality and community, urgent and traditional Music!

Bajo Salario Collective Band plays "urgent Music": Protest and Folkloric songs, Andean Music and Immigrant Stories. The Band explores the revolutionary musical traditions of Latin America, honoring and re-teaching historic protest songs, as well as original compositions about the experiences of immigrant workers in the USA and the current social-political environment of the "Migra-state".
